The Pillar Table is Mortadello Terrazzo’s signature dining table — a sculptural centrepiece defined by balance, weight, and proportion. Designed to anchor a space, it brings a quiet sense of monumentality to dining rooms, hospitality interiors, and architecturally led homes.
At its core is a pill-shaped terrazzo tabletop, generous in scale and softened at the edges, resting on two or three cylindrical ‘pillar’ legs. This composition creates a strong yet refined silhouette, where repetition and symmetry meet material richness. Each Pillar Table is handcrafted to order in Melbourne, cast entirely from scratch using custom terrazzo mixes developed specifically for the project. Aggregate selection, colour balance, edge profile, and leg configuration are all carefully considered, allowing the table to respond seamlessly to its architectural context. No two pieces are ever the same — subtle variation is part of its character.
