Custom Forest Green Terrazzo Kitchen & Hearth Installation

This project showcases a bespoke terrazzo kitchen benchtop and hearth unit, meticulously crafted using a custom Forest Green terrazzo mix tailored by Mortadello.

The kitchen island spans an impressive 6 meters in length and 1.5 meters in width, featuring a precast terrazzo upstand integrated with dual GPO outlets—perfect for seamless appliance use and charging.

At the opposite end, the benchtop is anchored by a distinctive Y-leg support, with elegant 300mm radius corners—a refined detail that blends form and function.

Complementing the kitchen, a matching 6-meter-long terrazzo hearth and plinth houses a freestanding fireplace and TV unit, adding architectural depth to the space.

This project was crafted entirely on-site, with raw terrazzo ingredients hand-blended and batched without concrete trucks or mechanical pumps, ensuring complete control over the texture, tone, and finish of every surface.
