Orlebar Brown commissioned Mortadello Terrazzo to design and fabricate a series of twelve bespoke terrazzo display blocks for use across their retail stores. The sculptural blocks were developed as part of a broader store upgrade, intended to refresh point-of-sale areas while reinforcing the brand’s refined, considered aesthetic.

Each block was custom cast in terrazzo, with proportions and detailing carefully resolved to function as both display elements and sculptural objects within the retail environment. The restrained terrazzo palette allowed the blocks to integrate seamlessly with the store interiors, while still offering a tactile and durable surface suited to high-traffic commercial use.

Following the success of the initial commission and subsequent store renovations, Mortadello Terrazzo was further engaged to produce a custom non-slip terrazzo entry slab featuring Orlebar Brown’s bold logo embedded directly into the surface. Installed at the entrance to the Bondi Junction store, the slab acts as both a functional threshold and a subtle brand statement—durable, graphic, and materially resolved.

This project demonstrates Mortadello Terrazzo’s ability to translate brand identity into bespoke terrazzo elements, delivering commercial solutions that balance durability, precision, and visual clarity.
