A historic double brick house with an Art Deco influence has its original 1930s terrazzo restored.
The veranda entry and terrazzo bathroom, sprinkled with mother of pearl (a common decorative choice for the era) was in desperate need of some attention and TLC.
Large pinholes and cracks were coloured matched and grouted, pre-existing repairs were improved. The existing terrazzo floor was cut back, honed, cleaned, and polished before a final sealer was applied. Thus, restoring and enhancing the surface with pops of colour and shine.
This lengthy process along with the attention to detail required will ensure this piece of history lasts another 100 years.
We hope the original artists would be proud.
